dilemma

We went out and drove to 19 venues. I've talked to 10384231204 people on the phone and via email. I've seen 1230487120857085092834701283 places online and through other resources (books, magazines, etc).

Only 2 places fit in our budget. I don't really love them though, and I kind of don't want to settle for either of them. So I'm thinking...if I can't have what I want, why do it at all? Is it worth it? Isn't that truly wasting money? I fell in love with 2 locations, but they're way out of budget. And I can't get myself to settle for the places we can afford. I'm really really sad about our situation.

I feel like I can find a deal everywhere...except in a venue. I don't know if I can bring myself to compromise our wedding day.

Did you have the wedding of your dreams? Or, did you not have the wedding of your dreams?

Is it silly that I just want to give this all up?

Hi- I found your blog through the knot. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this whole budget fiasco! My FI and I are in the same boat as you- except right now, our budget is "undetermined." There are definately affordable venues- it just takes time and possibly some tears :) BTW,your color inspirations are specatular!!! it's really inspired my color theme! GL with the planning!! & congrats!!!
