a traveling closet

So I currently have no job, am looking for work, taking care of the pops (is recovering from a surgery), and am enjoying the time off.

I've got a busy schedule ahead of me. The hubs and I are off to Houston this weekend to visit his parents, then we're San Francisco bound to celebrate our 1-year anniversary, and then I'm off to Europe with my mom and sister! I don't know what to wear or what purses and shoes to bring! I have little mula and lots of things to do. HELP!

Anyone check out Shopbop.com's Ultimate Closet LookBook: 16 pieces + 22 looks. I love it! This would totally be ideal for traveling fashionista.

Here are my favorite looks:

Way to maximize what you have! And that's what I'm planning to do...especially on my trip to Europe. I don't want to bring more than what I can fit into my carry-on.

You can find more looks at Shopbop.com.

structured jackets

Source.

Don't lie...you totally want[ed] Michael Jackson's jacket.

If you're gonna make a statement, make it a bold one. Say it with your jacket. Whether it's a leather biker jacket or a blazer, you want people to take that second ooooo i like that kinda look. Big collars and fierce shoulders!

A. Wang's New Bag

Alexander Wang Leopard Diego Bucket Bag. You can pre-order this bad boy at Opening Ceremony.

I am totally digging this bag...though the weight of the studs [and price] discourage me a little. I love functional bags. See this review over at The Purse Blog. I think this would be a great stand-out piece for any girl's wardrobe.

ready for the high seas?

It is hot hot here in So Cal...really, it's a beautiful day to be out on the ocean, laying out on the beach...to just be outdoors is nice. And if you can't do any of these, at least you can look like it. Dress up in nautical stripes!

Nicky Hilton paired a striped dress with a structured blazer over black opaque tights and black heels. Love it!

New York Post
This photo is from the movie, Brothers Bloom, which is an excellent movie! I'm so sorry; it's difficult to see Rachel Weisz's characters outfit. She pair a lovely khaki [trench] coat with a striped top.

How I wear it: I like to wear my Rodarte for Target Striped Top with my Zara black blazer, Cheap Monday blue skinny jeans, and Sam Edelman Zoe booties.

I will start taking better pictures! Promise!
