i went snowboarding this past weekend, and it was the first time i wore a helmet, and you know what...it saved my head!!!

please don't ever NOT wear a helmet cuz you think it's not cute. a broken head is NOT cute.

here's the hubs. after reading about a woman who died from a fall at an ice skating rink, he bought me a helmet.

the damage. can you imagine if i was not wearing the helmet??

the hubs took me to the ER just to make sure everything was okay; you can never be too careful. it all seems well, though i'm taking it easy...just in case. be safe everyone!

It is hot hot here in So Cal...really, it's a beautiful day to be out on the ocean, laying out on the beach...to just be outdoors is nice. And if you can't do any of these, at least you can look like it. Dress up in nautical stripes!

Staying in Shape

I'm doing it by making commitments. I've commited to play softball with my friends, and we've stepped up our game, so I need to bring it! I've commited to my gym by paying a monthly fee, and I don't want my money to go to waste. And my latest commitment: The Warrior Dash.

I've never done a race and obstacle course before; this is going to be intense. I'm mixing up my workouts at the gym, and I'm getting upping my distance running. I'm working on my strength and stamina...I'm gonna need it! I've got friends to keep up with. How are you staying in shape?
