how to make the wedding last...

1. slightly delay writing thank you cards. check.
2. sneak around to try on your wedding gown to see if it still fits. check. check.
3. try to casually bring it up with friends. check.
4. ask friends to share their pictures from your wedding. need more checks!
5. when choosing pictures for your wedding album, look at every single picture your photographer(s) took in detail. in progress.
6. continue chatting on the wedding board forums (i go to TheKnot.com forums!) to help out new brides. check.
7. take day-after pictures. check!
8. get noticed. check. =) I've been fortunate to have been featured on The Knot Live, Episode 3.
9. help a friend with her wedding. friend's wedding in October. check.

how can you not expect life to be so grand as your wedding day? it's hard. and i'm dealing. HBO's True Blood is helping. As well as getting into new hobbies such as tweeting, sewing and knitting, and old hobbies like reading and blogging. Oh, and joining a rec soft ball team with hubby, Team Wii Not Fit, has been super fun too!

I'm famous!!

Not really...but it was an awesome experience...having our wedding recognized by the peeps over at The Knot. I was the feature knottie for Episode 3. I got to speak with the cofounder and Editor in Chief of The Knot, Carley Roney. I felt like I was talking to a celebrity! Preston Bailey was a guest for the episode. They took a look at bridal bling, wedding cakes on a budget, hot reception trends, and of course, me & dee!

Those public speaking classes in college did not help. Sorry for all the ums and uhs. It's doesn't get easier even when you're not on a stage. But it was such a pleasure and so much fun talking about the wedding again. Too bad I only got 3 minutes to talk about it...

Special thanks to our awesome vendors, Jamie and Chris of { j a c }, Linda Ly of Grand Soirees, Steve Burdick (and his assistant) of SBE, Jasmine Corzo of Jazz Flowers, Liz Castellano of MakeupByLiz, and our awesome wedding party (my girls especially; i love you guys!!) with whom the day could not be what it was...the best day ever! And many thanks again to The Knot for thinking our wedding was pretty awesome too.

i'm over our wedding

NOT! <-- yea, i guess i do still say that. shut up.

anyways...lack of posting due to it was my berfday last week...on the day that MJ passed away, to be exact. =(

i have been nonstop celebrating with my wonderful family and friends!

i am trying to recover still...from my birthday, from the wedding, from everything! you know, get back in the groove...start reading the books i said i was going to read, start selling some wedding stuff we no longer need, get back into shape again cuz i still want to be able to fit into my wedding dress...just in case i convince hubby to take day-after pix...

looking forward to the short week. i'm heading up to big sur this weekend to camp with friends!

oh, and i'll be the featured knottie on The Knot Live this Wednesday, July 1, 2009. yep!!! they thought our wedding was something special. it's been so much fun talking about our day again and sharing pictures and special moments and just reliving it!

wedding recap - My seamstress would kill me!

So pro pix will have to wait for a while as our photogs will send all our hi-res files after creating our wedding album...but I have some great things to share nonetheless...

Our reception was so much fun! and I loved that the dance floor was packed most of the time. And even if it wasn't, I was still dancing. I wanted to enjoy every second of it.

I love that someone got this video of me (you may not see the video if you're reading this through a feeder)! Enjoy! My seamstress may not smile at first...but she did such a great job with my dress because it held up all night, throughout all my dancing, and I danced all night until the very end! and while i did feel some people stepping on the dress...my bustle did not fall out. woot!

Married!

We're married...it still feels like a dream. With all its imperfections, it was the perfect wedding..thanks to our fab families and friends...an awesome bridal party...a SUPER FAB coordinator, wonderful photographers, our entertaining dj, beautiful flowers, linens, and chairs...

We celebrated with a minimoon and continue to reminisce over our wonderful day!
